Sabrina Toye RDH, BS - Founder/ President:
Sabrina is a registered dental hygienist who holds a bachelors degree in science and dental hygiene from the
University of New England. She is currently a public health service provider in the State of Maine. She has a
passion to help others and formed this organization to provide a much needed service to Maine's families.
Christopher Gagne - Founder/ Director of Budget and Finance:
Chris holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. He
has experience in the dental field working in the public health sector.
Kelly Blue - Founder/ Office Manager:
Kelly has many years of experience working for a Maine non-profit organization. She brings valuable knowledge
and experience to Tooth Protectors. Kelly has also worked in the dental field and has seen the need for our dental
services throughout Maine's communities.
Tammy Chouinard - Hygienist:
Tammy graduated from Leavitt Area High School in 1981. After high school she spent 2 years active duty in the
United States Army, as a dental assistant. She then came home to Maine to raise her son, and to go back to
school. She Graduated from University of Maine Orono 1997. She has spent most of the past 12 years working
in public health. She enjoys working with children and teaching them good dental habits. She hopes to continue
working with children, for many years to come.
Kristi Leidemann - Hygienist:
Kristi graduated from UNE in 2001 with an associates in dental hygiene. She became one of the first public health
hygienists during an exciting time when Maine lawmakers had just passed laws making it possible for hygienists to
work alone in alternative settings. Kristi started off working pediatric public health part time in Sanford and has
now become very busy with Tooth Protectors and works all across southern and mid-coast Maine providing
services for all ages. Kristi enjoys spending time with her baby girl, traveling, cooking, and loves miniature
schnauzers.

Tooth Protectors was founded by three Maine individuals
who are committed to providing Maine families with
affordable dental hygiene care.
We have a team of Insured, Licensed Registered Dental
Hygienists who travel to alternative settings throughout
most of Maine to help meet the need for dental care. We are
able to accomplish this by using portable dental equipment
to provide these much needed services to Maine families.
Our equipment and instruments are the same as what you
see in traditional dental offices, except that ours are
portable. We follow strict infection control standards and
sterilization protocol provided by OSHA and we are also
compliant with HIPPA regulations regarding patient
confidentiality. We feel it is important to participate with
the Department of Education and the State Police with
fingerprinting certification, so our team of hygienists are
fingerprinted and certified to comply with Maine school
requirements regarding an extensive background check.
